A first-of-its-kind state program that provides up to $70/day to help employed caregivers pay for adult day care, home care, or other services for their elderly loved ones. This allows working family members to keep their jobs while ensuring their kupuna receive care. Hawaii was the first state to create such a program.
How to Apply in Hawaii
- Contact the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) at 1-808-643-2372
- You must be employed (full or part-time) and caregiving for someone 60+
- The care recipient must qualify for Kupuna Care services
- Funds can be used for adult day care, home care, transportation, or chore services
- Apply through your local Area Agency on Aging
